Two new medical colleges to be set up in Almora Uttarakhand

In June this year, inaugurating the new office buildings of the Director General of Medical Health and Family Welfare and Director General of Ayush in Almora, built at a cost of Rs 15 crore.; the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced that two new government medical colleges will soon be set up in Uttarakhand.

The medical colleges will be set up in Almora.

At present there are two Government medical colleges in Uttarakhand at Srinagar in Pauri district and Haldwani in Nainital district.
