Uttarakhand government today issued instructions to private medical colleges in Uttarakhand to admit students on the basis of the merit list prepared after the entrance test. In a meeting chaired by Health Minister Balwant Singh Bhoryal, the government asked private medical colleges of the state to ensure that students are admitted on the basis of the merit list of the entrance test. In addition, the private medical colleges in Uttarakhand have also been instructed not to charge fee more than what has been fixed by the Government for them.

For informations sake, Uttarakhand has two private medical colleges-- Himalayan Hospital at Jollygrant in Rishikesh and Mahant Indresh Medical college in Dehra Dun.

This news can have positive bearing on those who are preparing for Pre Medical Tests in Uttarakhand. It has often been seen that the desire to mint more money, makes private medical colleges in Uttarakhand, surpass the right of those candidates who want to secure themselves a seat primarily on merit.
