Rishikesh AIIMS to start functioning from February 2012

The Uttarakhand Government today announced that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), which is being constructed in Rishikesh (in between Hardwar and Rishikesh), will start functioning from February next year (February 2012).

A total of 100 students will get an opportunity to pursue an MBBS course from the first year.
Subhash Kumar the chief Secretary Uttarakhand Government also informed that the construction of residential buildings had already been completed.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, will be a 960-bed hospital, being constructed on 76 acres of land. The residential campus separately spreads in an area of 25 acres.
