Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand village gears up for Manju Ghosh Yatra and Fair

Kanda village in Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand is gearing up for Manju Ghosh Yatra and Fair held annually held on the Bhaiya Dooj day after Diwali. This year the Manju Ghosh Yatra and Fair 2011 wil lbe held on October 28.

Notably, Kanda Village famous for temples, is approximately 44 km from Pauri Town; and is located on the Srinagar-Delchauri Road. The village has numerous temples built during the 11th and 12 century – dedicated to Lakshmi Narayan, Uma Mahesh, Surya and Vishnu.

Dedicated to the local deity Manju Gosh, the annual Yatra and Fair attracts thousands of people from far and nearby regions.
