On September 16 2011, we started a unique poll on Uttarakhandportal, which had the primary objective of finding the availability of Faculty/Teaching Staff in Higher Education Institutions in Uttarakhand. We thank all readers who took interest in the Survey/Poll and cast their valuable vote.

What was asked: In the said survey, which was up for voting from September 16, 2011 to October 10, 2011, we asked our readers one question, with Six options:

In my OR my son/daughter's College in Uttarakhand Faculties for:

1) Only 1 out of 5 subjects is available
2) Only 2 out of 5 subjects is available
3) Only 3 out of 5 subjects is available
4) 4 out of 5 subjects is available
5) 5 out of 5 subjects is available
6) Although Hundred percent Faculty is available, I'm not happy with the Quality

Hoping that you as a student OR as a parent of a college Going Kid, is aware of the Faculty/teaching staff availability in your/your child's college, better than anyone else; below are percentage of votes cast, to the question, "What is the Faculty/teaching staff availability in your OR your son/daughter's College in Uttarakhand?":

Only 1 out of 5 subjects is available__________35%

Only 2 out of 5 subjects is available__________8%

Although Hundred percent Faculty is available, I'm not happy with the Quality__________23%

Summary:

A) 35 Percent of colleges in Uttarakhand have faculty available for just 1 out of 5 subjects.
B)  34 percent of colleges in Uttarakhand are content in having teacher availability in the range of 40-80 percent.
C) Only 8 Percent of colleges in Uttarakhand have Teachers for all subjects.
D) Of the colleges that are maintaining 100 percent faculty/Teaching staff, only 77 percent are focusing on quality of faculty/teachers.
