Kumaun University to introduce Semester System at Graduate Level

The Kumaun University Nainital plans to introduce the Semester System at Graduate Level from the next academic session, said Prof VPS Arora, vice-chancellor of the university.

The decision in this regard is taken at a meeting of principals of the affiliated colleges of the university in Nainital yesterday.

Notably, the semester system of examination is introduced at the postgraduate-level at the current academic session.

Salient Points of the New Semester System:

Under the new system, 180 days of attendance and completion of assignment will be compulsory for every student. The students will be allotted ten digit roll numbers from their respective colleges. The examination for the first semester will be held in the month of December and of second semester will be in June.
