Total Number of Voters in Pithoragarh Assembly Seats

Total number of voters in all four seats of Pithoragarh district has registered an increase, according to the latest voter list released by the district election office.

In 2007, there were a total of 3,14,099 voters in Pithoragarh District. The number has now increased to 3,22,315.

Thus in the last four years 8,216 more voters are added to the Total number of voters in all Assembly seats in Pithoragarh.

The Gangolihat seat, with 84,835 boasts the highest number of voters in Pithoragarh district followed by the Pithoragarh seat with 82,888 voters.

The Didihat Assembly seat has 69,251 voters and the Dharchula Assembly seat has 70,035 voters.

Salient points:


1) The number of female voters exceeds that of male in the three Assembly seats of Dharchula, Didihat and Pithoragarh. The number of male voters is higher in the Gangolihat seat. The number of female voters exceeding in three seats, may be due to sizeable portion of adult males in Armed forces.
