As part of its effort to make itself more transparent and hence accountable to people of Uttarakhand and India, The Uttarakhand Lok Sewa Ayog or Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar, 249404; has set up a Citizen Charter at its Office.

The Citizen Charter is simply an initiative by Government Departments, to provide the following to the people:

1) Information about its day-today functioning.
2) Objectives
3) Information and any clarifications about the services it provides to the people.
4) A forum and hence means to help people register their complaints, if they are not happy with the department's functioning.

As part of the initiative, the Ayog has set up the following:

-- suggestion and Complaint Board (You can register your complaints by visiting the Office)
-- A cell to look into Suggestions and complaints
