Indian Nursing Council, the Combined Councl building, Kitla Road, Temple Lane, New Delhi - 110 002, Ph. 23235619, 23235570, Fax: 23236140, has found that many nursing institutions are being run illegally on the recognition awarded by State Nursing Councils (SNCs). INC notes that such institutions have been given affiliation by concerned university (s) without any recognition/approval from Indian Nursing Council (INC).

The students who get their degrees from such Institutions that are not recognised by INC, will not be eligible for registration  to work as Nurse/midwife outside the state.

Considering all these factors, individuals doing any Nursing course/degree in any part of India, are hereby advised to ensure that the Nursing College/Institution they have chosen, is recognised by Indian Nursing Council (INC).
