UKPSC is soon to launch the facility of "Online Filling of Application Forms".

Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is going to unveil an online service for filling up forms for the candidates.

Once the facility is launched, a candidate doesn't have to purchase forms and send it through mail to the Commission. Instead, he/she will straight away head to the commission website and fill and submit an online Application Form.

NIC, who has created a new software,is entrusted with creating online application form submission facility for UKPSC. The software, would be able to submit not only the application forms, but also the fees online.

Right now, UKPSC is busy negotiating with a nationalized bank to handle the money transaction involved in the filling of an Application form.

Once the Commission reaches an agreement with the bank, Online facility would be started.

In the initial testing, the Commission plans to provide online service for interview only. However, for written exams the PSC would provide this facility in a phased manner.

The Commission hopes that the new facility will not only save valuable time of a candidate, but will also bring down the careless but costly errors in the application forms(software would point to such mistakes, so that the candidate corrects them before submitting the form). Other obvious benefits of the new system are real time submission of the form and also no risk of forms being torn and cut.

As per sources, this facility would be introduced by the end of the current year.
