Nainital HC orders the Uttarakhand Government to submit their reply on Domicile Issue.

Uttarakhand High Court at Nainital, has issued notices to Chief Secretary Uttarakhand and others to file the Government's stand on Uttarakhand Domicile Issue by February 18, 2013.

What is the bottleneck?

If my memory serves me correctly; then the Government has to decide whether it should give Domicile Status (permanent residence) to even those who settled in Uttarakhand post November 9, 2000 or NOT.

Practically speaking, much of the people came to Uttarakhand after the State formation. Hence, giving all these people domicile status, may serve the political parties; but it's surely not in favour of the people.
