Two schemes which are awaiting inauguration in Uttarakhand in the coming weeks or months, are a helicopter service in select cities and; a mobile ambulance van service in Dehradun (if recall correctly). According to media reports, PM may visit Uttarakhand to launch them.

The said services are so routine in terms of their scope and long term success that ideally the state Chief Minister should launch them. The success of these services depends on the scope and resource allocation to them. This can particularity be said about the mobile ambulance van service. So why the PM inaugurate something whose future success majorly depends on amount of money and resource allocation towards it?
